Brace yourself — a few big names could seriously disappoint fantasy managers in Week 10. Let’s break down the players you might want to leave on your bench this week.
Aaron Rodgers (QB – PIT) vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Rodgers struggled mightily last week after showing promise in recent games. Against the Colts, he completed 35 of 53 passes for 203 yards, one touchdown, and an interception — his lowest yardage and fantasy output since the Steelers’ Week 5 bye.
This week’s matchup isn’t doing him any favors. The Chargers have held opposing quarterbacks to just 184.8 passing yards, 0.9 touchdowns, and 12.2 fantasy points per game over the past month. With the Steelers’ defense performing better and Los Angeles keeping passers in check, Rodgers’ ceiling looks limited. Expect another subpar outing.
Breece Hall (RB – NYJ) vs. Cleveland Browns
Hall remains a fantasy star, but this week’s matchup could put that momentum on pause. The Browns have been the toughest run defense in football, giving up just 15.8 fantasy points per game to opposing backfields.
Hall has flashed elite dual-threat ability — 147 total yards and two touchdowns in his last outing — but he’s struggled against stronger defenses recently. Expect reduced efficiency as Cleveland’s front seven forces the Jets into more passing situations.
Kimani Vidal (RB – LAC) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Croskey-Merritt’s early breakout hype has cooled off quickly. Over the past two weeks, he’s averaged just 4.4 fantasy points per game with no touchdowns.
Detroit’s run defense is no joke — they’ve allowed only 71 rushing yards per game and the third-fewest fantasy points to RBs this season. With Chris Rodriguez Jr. also earning touches, Croskey-Merritt’s workload and production both look shaky heading into Week 10.
Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR – ARI) vs. Seattle Seahawks
Harrison looked electric last week with 96 yards and a touchdown, but this matchup is tougher than it seems. Seattle’s defense is getting healthier and has limited opposing WR1s to under 11 fantasy points in half of their games.
Arizona may also lean on shorter routes to avoid Seattle’s pass rush, which could cap Harrison’s big-play potential. He’s still startable but carries far more risk than usual.
Brian Thomas Jr. (WR – JAC) vs. Houston Texans
Thomas has been a pleasant surprise this season, but a recent ankle injury and the Jaguars’ new addition of Jakobi Meyers complicate things. Houston’s secondary has quietly been solid, holding WRs to just 26 receptions and 200 yards per game in recent weeks.
Even if Thomas plays, he’s not a safe start. With fewer targets likely coming his way and the Texans giving up limited deep plays, Thomas is best left on the bench until he’s fully healthy.
Final Thoughts
In fantasy football, timing is everything. These players have the talent — but between matchups, injuries, and defensive trends, Week 10 may not be their week. Play it safe, trust the data, and look for better streaming options where possible.
